Is it really solid gold?
Yes. Our 10K and 14K chains are solid gold all the way through — no plating, no filling, no hollow core — and the clasp is stamped with the karat.
10K or 14K?
14K is 58.3% gold with a deeper yellow. 10K is 41.7% gold, slightly harder and lower in price. Both are made for daily wear.
Which width?
2–3mm is clean and everyday. 4mm and up has real weight and reads from across the room. Not sure? 3mm at 20" is where most people start.
Which length?
18" sits at the base of the neck, 20" at the collarbone, 22–24" mid-chest. For a bracelet, measure your wrist and add about half an inch.
How fast do you ship?
Free 2-day shipping on every order within the continental US. Order before 2:00 PM Pacific, Monday to Friday, and it ships the same day with tracking.
Can I return it?
Yes — 30 days. Unworn, in the original box. Email gemzngold@gmail.com or call (213) 624-8812 to start a return.
Is there a warranty?
Every piece has a 90-day warranty against manufacturing defects. If the clasp or a link fails under normal wear in the first 90 days, we repair or replace it free.
Are your rope chains made in the USA?
Yes. Every chain and bracelet is made in our own workshop in the Jewelry District of Downtown Los Angeles, where Galaxy Gold has made fine jewelry since 1985.
What does diamond cut mean?
Each twist of the rope is cut with small flat facets, so the chain catches the light and sparkles more than a plain polished rope.
Men's or women's?
Both. 2–3mm ropes are popular with women and for layering; 4mm and up are the classic men's gold rope chain.
